NL Day 11 – Comfort Cove, Newstead

Not much to report today. Went to Lewisporte for something to do. At the museum we learned that the town sheltered 800 stranded airline passengers for 3 days during the 9/11 emergency. During WW2 the port accommodated oil tankers bringing fuel which was then trucked to Gander for the air force. Also found a long hooked rug with the Lions logo!
