Gros Morne – Tablelands

A while back the earth’s mantle poked up to the surface around here, conveniently appearing in Gros Morne National Park! We walked the trail there today. There is essentially no vegetation because the chemical composition of mantle rock is high in iron and magnesium, which plants don’t like.
