NL Day 16 – Gander, Trinity

We left Cobbs Arm in the rain at about 10. Stopped at the Gander Airport to see a famous mural ( see photos ). There is a very nice display of the history of the airport, with a large set of panels related to 9/11 and the role the airport played. Thirty eight aircraft and 7,000 passengers and crew. Brings quite the emotional response. We’re back here July 4 to see the play Come From Away. Looking forward to that!

Arrived at the next lodging around 4. This is a more ‘rustic’ cabin, perched on the top of a hill. The wind almost blew us off! After unpacking we drove in to Trinity. Cold and blustery, but cute ( see photos ).

Tomorrow Bonavista and a play at the Trinity playhouse.
