Kingston to Annapolis – Overview
We set out from Kingston, sail to Prince Edward County, then across Lake Ontario to Oswega NY. Then down the Oswega river/canal to the junction of the Erie canal. Along the Erie canal, along the Mohawk river, eventually to the Hudson river at Troy. Then south to NY City and out into the ocean for the trip down the New Jersey coast to Cape May. Turn north again in the Delaware bay to the Chesapeake and Delaware canal. Through the canal to Annapolis, Maryland. Total distance about 1000km.

I wish you fair weather. What are the dates? When do you set sail from Kingston?
I would like some details. Tell us about the boat, maybe a picture too. Whose boat is it? Who is going on this adventure? What is your job on the boat?
Who is holding the goat?
Amazing! Super jealous
The boat is a Niagara 35, built in Ontario in 1986. This is a very capable and seaworthy sailboat purchased by my friend and neighbour Lisa Bayne about 5 years ago. She has a passion for sailing and has been outfitting and restoring the boat getting ready to set sail for the Caribbean, then Europe. We leave on September 12 and my leg ends around the end of September. I’m the crew helping her move the boat from Kingston to Annapolis, Maryland. Lisa will carry on to the Caribbean for the winter then to Europe next spring. It’s mostly motoring through canals with about 4 or 5 days of actual sailing.
Well, that sounds like a bit of an adventure … what an amazing experience. I know you’ll throw yourself into it and enjoy!!!
