NL Day 26, 27, 28, 29 – Ferry to Bath
Bye Rock, Hi Fred
In the morning we shopped for groceries, arrived at the ferry dock at 10:30, boarded and left Newfoundland at 12:15. It’s staggering how many cars, campers, trailers and trucks there are on this ferry. Even a heli-pad! Uneventful crossing to Sydney.
There we had dinner at the Miner’s Daughter restaurant, and then drove to the next BnB on Bras D’Or lake. Very nice cottage on a huge and beautiful inland lake, which I think might be connected to the ocean, not sure.
The next stop was in Fredericton, with a stop in Antigonish en route, where we visited a chocolate shop run by a Syrian immigrant family. They have turned this into a successful business called ‘Peace by Chocolate’. Here’s their story.
The next stop was St Cyrille de Lessard, where we had stayed on Day 1. Had a good visit with the host. Neat lady, Line. En route we had stopped a Grand Falls NB, for a look at the grand falls, and Kamouraska for a coffee and a visit to the church.
The last stop was in Bath, where Fred was waiting for his new box. Quincy was still under a chair.
