Bath Cyclers at OML

Today was a day worthy of a blog post.

Having noted a great weather day, and having committed to organizing a group ride with the Bath Cyclers, it seemed like this was an opportunity to be taken. So Sandra and I offered to host a ride, lunch, walk and swim on Friday, Oct 18. Out went the invitation with my usual trepidation (what if I had a party and no one came!). Well no worries. We had 14 people eagerly accept, and a few regrets.

The weather was spectacular, the trees in full colour, the people friendly and enthusiastic.

The ride was around the Piccadilly loop, which is a 15km loop on country roads with mostly farms and forest surrounding.

The lunch was at 1205 OML. Some contributions from the group and soup and casserole made by Sandra. All delicious.

The swim (!) was a quick one by Sandra and Diana.

Some great photos of the day.
The walk was down the lane to Ben’s and back.

All in all a terrific day.
I had a party and everyone came!
